PUZZLing?
For Sport
I love solving jigsaw, and all manner of sculptural puzzles. math and Clue based puzzles give me a deep fulfillment. Once I start a puzzle I’m usually on the hook to finish it.
Professionally
I was a ui/ux designer on an app meant to drive engagement in prospect park. I specifically designed an authoring tool for park staff to create “challenges”.
In a “Challenge” a user would be directed to a specific location in the park. once within the geofence of that location, the user would be presented with a piece of trivia that could answered using clues available at that particular location.
In general, everything I do is a puzzle
Ui/UX projects are a puzzle where you receive a brief and a budget and then put together a solution that is intelligible to your users and works within the tech stack you have at your disposal.
Similarly, video production, live visuals, and live event streaming all require many moving pieces to fit together. Everything becomes a puzzle, and I love solving them.

Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Performed by Pheonix Chorale
Phoenix Chorale
At time of writing I’m in Phoenix, Arizona, having just completed a short run of shows supporting the Phoenix Chorale. I was asked to film the series, which was taking place at the Phoenix Art Museum (a departure from the Chorale’s usual venues) and was to incorporate live visuals for the second showcase of the evening. The Show’s producers felt a little odd only having visuals for one of the two showcases, so they commissioned me to create a full set of visual accompaniments for the first piece of the evening Handel’s Dixit Dominus. As a full choir and chamber orchestra are going to vary a little bit in every performance, I created a robust Qlab Package that would account for any wavering in performance and still keep all of the visuals in sync which I was able to leave in the hands of the (non-technical) assistant conductor to operate while I was busy filming the show. Concert film incoming!
The Gauntlet
The Gauntlet is a one-of-a-kind nonlinear choral experience that I’ve been documenting since it began in June 2016.

NYC
12 years and counting. I love how the thing lives a breaths. I also love finding the places where the bottle trees grow.

Meatsuits
Swimwear and Apparel
A targeted ad challenged me to "create a dropshipping store in minutes."
With the help of a really neat print-on-demand service, it took about 90 of those "minutes" to get Meatsuits up and running.
While the original hosting platform became prohibitively expensive, you can still get Meatsuits here. You're welcome.

VR/360
I became a VR/AR/XR enthusiast in 2016 when I built an HTC VIVE system for Rehash Studio. Since then, I’ve incorporated this immersive storytelling technology into several projects, including documentary filmmaking.

Vibe Like Paul
Jake Bronstein, marketer, entrepreneur, and internet personality, brings his latest media experiment to life. I directed, shot, and edited his Kickstarter video.

Corporate Stuff:
While working with Rehash Studio, I produced, directed, and edited several video assets for the INDEX2019 conference in Miami beach. Deliverables included: Promotional materials to drive ticket sales, on-stage videos and graphics displayed at the event, post-event recap, and full session videos.
